Fall
We spend July and August in British Columbia and so returning to Filoli in September was always exciting–to see all the changes. Fall is a time for me that I will remember some plants pushing their colors forward while others were retreating for the change-in-season. The horticulture team makes sure that there is no shortage of color and texture to take in (and shoot). But, I am also excited by how the bones of the garden rooms are beginning to show. About this project: 4 Years At Filoli
This project began when my wife and I were looking for a pandemic-friendly afternoon outdoors and we visited Filoli in Woodside, CA. This was February 2021. Spring had just begun to coax the blossoms and blooms along and it occurred to me that it might be fun to revisit the gardens every week and record the changes. As a member I could get in an hour early on Saturdays. So, a project was born. Four years and 2,090 published images later it was time to wrap this project up. These Filoli galleries are a few of the images from my time at Filoli.
