Richard Serra Sculpture at The Cantor Art Center

For some time I have been fascinated by Richard Serra’s work; particularly by his large scale sculptures. It wasn’t until I saw the sculpture at the Cantor Art Center on the Stanford University campus that I realized when installed outdoors this is living art. As the sun moves, the shadows shift and create a completely different visual experience. Mere minutes separate completely different experiences. I got the chance to shoot this one recent afternoon. The images are best seen big, so they are best viewed in a slideshow. I am curious what the it feels like in morning light. Sounds like another visit is in order.
