Summers On Quesnel Lake

Quesnel Lake, British Columbia – For nearly 40 years our family has spent summer months at our remote cabins on the north arm of Quesnel Lake. Our cabin was built in the early 1950s by my wife’s grandfather. It remains rustic, but offers the necessary comforts of indoor plumbing and the enjoyable challenges of cooking on a wood stove. Suffice-it-to-say, the area offers ample opportunity to capture the wilds of British Columbia in both color and black and white.

For a few years, I shot almost exclusively with the Leica M Monochrom cameras. Why? I liked the simplicity of seeing in tones, and it took me back to the days when all I had were rolls of Kodak Tri-X 400. These are a few of the images from those years. Click on an image to view a slideshow.

All press is good press.

A few years ago, The Leica Camera Blog did and interview with me and featured some of my Quesnel Lake work. Here is a link to that article.
